Beskrivelse: I. 'SIDECAR OUTING FOR WOUNDED SOLDIERS: Wounded soldiers from St Thomas's Hospital enjoy a run to Burford Bridge, where they are entertained by Alderman Duncan Watson'. The soldiers sit on the steps; rank of motorcycles and sidecars, complete with passengers, prepares to set off close by. They depart. The convoy of motorcycles passes through parkland, where at one point a press photographer balances on a bike to take a photograph. One of the bikes has a small banner saying "Harley Davidson" attached to the handlebars. The climax of the trip: the travellers arrive outside the Burford Bridge Hotel. (Alderman Watson not identified.)II. 'YEOMANRY "EIGHTS" AT PUTNEY: The 3rd County of London Yeomanry hold an inter-regimental race on the Thames. All the men taking part have fought in Gallipoli'. One of the teams of soldiers, wearing rowing shorts but still in uniform above the waist, carry their boats down to the water. Shots of the race in progress, as all three boats row past the camera positions. (No suggestion as to who won.)III. 'VETERANS OF THE ROAD: Rally of "Old Times" Cyclists on the Ripley Road. Riders of the ordinary and boneshaker bicycle of the early "Seventies" taking part'. Cyclists and their cycles congregate on the country road. A woman sits on her 'boneshaker', held stable by a man. General view of assembled multitude and the various bikes, including penny-farthings. The cyclists take to the road; the old bicycles in action, watched idly by some soldiers reclining at the roadside.IV. 'MARINES FILLING CARTRIDGE BELTS: British Marines in Salonika busily employed in filling cartridge belts for machine guns. A machine makes the work almost automatic'. Three men sit on a bench in the open air. The machine is clamped to the edge of the bench and looks like a hand-operated mincing machine. One of the men turns the handle whilst one of the others loads .303 cartridges into the top of the machine. The filled section of the belt feeds out of the bottom of the contraption and trails down onto the floor beneath the bench. (Filmed by Varges?)V. 'BRITISH GUNS IN ACTION: Huge British gun at Salonika in action sending shells into the enemy lines. The tent is used to conceal the gun from enemy aircraft observation'. Long shot of gun, which is almost completely enclosed in a tent with just the barrel protruding. Men stand by. Medium shot of gun firing. A Still photographer takes shots of the gun/ tent. Further footage is taken from the other side of the tent; the gun is fires several times. (Filmed by Varges ?)
